Orthokeratology or Ortho-K is the overnight wear of customised contact lenses that eliminate the need for glasses or contact lenses during the day. This non-surgical procedure uses rigid contact lenses to gently re-shape the cornea (front of the eye) whilst sleeping. The result is clear vision upon waking the next day.

This is a great alternative to LASIK surgery and is mainly used to correct myopia (shortsightedness), however can also be used to correct hyperopia, presbyopia, and astigmatism.
